Service Breaks in 2009
One-week opportunities to volunteer abroad!
Service Breaks are week-long projects where you live, learn, work, and experience life with local people on an international service project that will make a difference in their lives, and will enrich your understanding of life and culture abroad.
Whether you are a new adventurer or a seasoned traveler, there is something you can learn from the experience of service abroad. There is nothing more rewarding than working hand-in-hand with others on a project that will have an uplifting impact on a hard-working community in an underdeveloped region of the world.
Service Breaks focus on high impact projects like building, reforestation, clearing land, planting, and facility maintenance. Projects where many hands can make light work and the results of your project can be seen right away!
Service breaks have set dates and are available throughout the year. Choose a date that works best for you.
Service Breaks cost only $1,295 and include all project costs, activities, room and board, in-country transportation, and international health insurance.

Service Breaks require minimum participation of 10 people. If a scheduled project does not receive the minimum number of people by the application deadline, you can participate in another project scheduled for the same dates, pick another project scheduled within a twelve month period, or receive a full refund (including deposit). Cost does not include international airfare to Managua, Nicaragua or Quito, Ecuador.
