Thank you for your interest in Travel Alive programs in Nicaragua and Ecuador. Travel Alive has provided great benefits to volunteers and host communities alike. Since 2006 we have been matching volunteers and language students with projects in Ocotal Nicaragua and in various locations throughout Ecuador. Participants have had amazing experiences involving language acquisition, cultural immersion, and volunteering in some of the most incredible cultures in the world. For host communities this program has provided much needed income, a window to the developed world, and important cross-cultural interaction.
Our number one goal is to provide meaningful travel experiences for international volunteers and language students in exchange programs that greatly benefit both the volunteers and the people they meet. Beginning in 2008 program registrations began to fall causing us to suspend programs for 2010. We hope that an upturn in the economy will bring renewed interest in our programs volunteer immersion programs, and we look forward to possibly continuing programs in the future.
